A beautifully presented luxury Advent candle set, created for families who wish to mark the season slowly, prayerfully and with a little light.

Each of the five substantial candles is hand-rolled from one complete sheet of British beeswax. No half sheets or narrow strips are used: every candle receives an entire sheet, producing a generous candle measuring approximately 20 cm tall and 2 cm wide.

The natural honeycomb texture, individually wrapped presentation and five accompanying prayer cards make this a meaningful Advent tradition and an exceptional Christmas gift.

Each candle arrives protected in its own folded kraft-paper wrapper, finished with a numbered label identifying its name and place in the Advent sequence.

How the set is used

On the First Sunday of Advent, light the purple Hope candle and read its accompanying prayer.

On each following Sunday, relight the candles from the earlier weeks before lighting the next candle in the sequence. On Christmas Day, light all five together and read the prayer for the white Christ candle.

The candles may be allowed to burn for as long as you wish, then extinguished carefully and saved for the following week.

Each candle is rolled and wrapped by hand by Phoenix Candle Company in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, where we have been making candles since 2005.
